Developmental Lions Overview

The Developmental Lions Program is perfect for the player graduating from Junior Lions or beginning their journey into soccer.   The Director of Community Soccer leads the program along with a group of licensed and volunteer coaches.  They build an environment that promotes learning, physical activity, skill acquisition, and fun.  Licensed coaches teach your child basic techniques, and age-appropriate movement skills focusing on body control, agility, balance, and coordination.

Every week your child will engage in one coach-led training session and one game against other teams within the club.  Weekly games pair teams against one another that are of a similar skill level.

Developmental Lions is a team-centered program, adding to your child’s development.  Your child will build a compilation of life skills as they take on challenges with their team. Being part of a team helps to teach communication, teamwork, responsibility, and commitment.  These skills will serve your child for the rest of their life.
This program is for players born from 2006 to 2011 and is the third tier in the Orlando City Development Pyramid. The training season will be six to eight weeks long.  Over the season each week will consist of one coach-led training and one game.  To join the program please register.
